Her parents recently divorced, Emma has never truly been alone with her father until this weekend.

Emma's Visit takes place during a moment of change and upheaval in a girl's life.  Emma observes her father's new bachelor lifestyle, complete with unabashed flirtaton with girls half his age, junk food dinners, and an apartment littered with expensive toys and tasteless magazines,  Emma tries to make her own space amid the chaotic remnants of her home life.

ELENA CARR recently earned her MFA in Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin.  She began making documentaries at UC Berkeley and is the producer of LADYPORN (2001),  documentary that follows the journey of two female filmmakers trying to create a "porn flick" for women.  LADYPORN won the Audience Award at SXSW 2001.  GARDEN OF ANGELS (2001), a documentary about infant abandonment, won the Bronze Medal at WestFest 2001.  Elena's most recent fiction film, EMMA'S VISIT (2003) won the Bettye Nowlin Award for Student Excellence in Filmmaking at the 2003 Cinematexas Film Festival.  Elena currently lives in Los Angeles.
