Doug Phillips has been a writer since 1970 (short story fiction; articles on science, politics and Theology) and a screenwriter since 2000. He works as a staff film critic (under a pseudonym) with a website with 55 million hits per month He holds earned degrees in three disciplines, and has worked professional as a Computer Analyst, as a Medical Technologist, and in Materials Management.
His screenplay Lost Boundaries, a fact-based Western, placed 3rd in the 2001 Nevada film Office Contest and 4th at Bare Bones 2002.
His TV Pilot teleplay Amber and Gray, a detective thriller, was a Top 10 Finalist in The C Project, a 2003 contest held by the Creative Actors Alliance.. After the contest, the CAA offered to option the script if Mr. Phillips would rewrite it into a feature film, which he did. (After optioning the CAA promotes them to producers with the intent that CAA members will be cast first.)
